[‘Nju]: The Sophist
[‘Nju]: The Sophist is a zero-waste brand, started in Italy by a Korean designer and now based in the UK. The brand is zero waste, reusing threads and deadstock fabrics. The textiles are meticulously handmade using a free-motion embroidery technique, making each piece one of a kind. This technique employs a machine sewing needle as a drawing instrument, allowing the designer to intricately weave together analogue images and create a unique visual exploration.
8 BALL CUSTOM VINTAGE
8 Ball Custom Vintage is a female-led, family venture committed to sustainability and regeneration. Created by Angela, Montana, and Keiandra in Newcastle and East London, each piece is meticulously sourced, upcycled, and handcrafted from second-hand and vintage fabrics, with every sale funding global tree-planting projects that benefit local communities.
CLARA CHU
Clara Chu is a London-based multidisciplinary artist and designer whose namesake brand specialises in fashion accessories that redefine the ordinary. Blending everyday domestic mundanity with vibrant pop art, she transforms discarded household items into wearable pieces, merging mass production with handcraft to challenge fashion norms, advocate change, and raise awareness about waste.
Dom Okah
Dom Okah is a sustainable clothing designer working with preloved materials to create image-led, illustrative pieces of wearable art. With a background in illustration and graphic design, his work uses a collage-based approach, layering fabric with a range of techniques like appliqué, embroidery and hand painting. Rooted in storytelling, Dom's practice explores themes of transformation, identity and nature, guided by ideas of alchemy and the imaginative potential of the discarded.
EbcyC
EbcyC is an ongoing collaboration between fashion designer Emma Blythe and 3D artist Chun-Yin Chan. Founded in 2022, their first Flower Bag began as a one-off passion project and quickly grew from their East London studio to global fashion weeks and international retailers. Each whimsical piece is handcrafted from pre-worn denim sourced in York, embracing signs of age and blending physical craft with digital fantasy.
Imogen Fawkes
Imogen Fawkes is a London-based fashion label rooted in craftsmanship, individuality, and sustainability. Specialising in handmade, hand-beaded garments, each piece is crafted in the UK from recycled fabrics and often made to order, reducing waste and ensuring exclusivity. The brand’s timeless designs celebrate self-expression, creating timeless pieces with soul, where creativity meets conscious design.
KABO
KABO is a queer-owned independent fashion brand specialising in upcycling and reworking second-hand garments from repurposed and damaged materials. We focus on circular fashion by producing in small runs and constantly exploring new ways to reduce our environmental impact.
Material Response
Material Response is a premium denim brand reacting to societal issues with depth and clarity. Each piece is handmade from sustainably sourced or upcycled materials, with a focus on textile development and fabric revival. Championing craft, creativity, and responsible fashion, they create durable, one-of-a-kind staples that give vintage fabrics new life.
MINSKI
MINSKI is a UK-based slow fashion brand creating joyful, one-of-a-kind clothing with a sense of childlike wonder and playful rebellion. Each design is made from materials with a past, rescued fabrics, forgotten garments, bits and bobs found in the corners of charity shops or gifted from friends. Designer Nina draws inspiration from the hidden stories in those pieces, letting their history shape what they become next.
