The making of JUNK | Olmo Parenti’s Journey into the Environmental Impact of the Fashion

We sat down with Olmo Parenti, the director and filmmaker behind the 3 of the 6 episodes of the groundbreaking docuseries "JUNK".

JUNK is an Italian docuseries co-produced by Will Media and Sky Italia. The docuseries follows fashion advocate Matteo Ward as he visits Chile, Ghana, Bangladesh, Indonesia, India and Italy, looking at a different problem within the fashion industry. By telling the stories of people and ecosystems that directly suffer from fast fashion, JUNK casts a new light on its unseen, often ignored impacts on the fashion industry.

During our interview with Parenti, the director shared intriguing behind-the-scenes stories and his personal journey in creating "JUNK". Our conversation was an insightful and sobering reminder of the responsibility that comes with our daily fashion choices.

The full documentary is currently only available for streaming in Italian, but it is expected to be available to an international audience later this year.
