This is Descostura, we create regenerative, circular and communitary clothes from other clothes.
Descostura was born in Rosario, Argentina in 2012. It’s mission has always been to explore upcycling as a way of creating pieces of clothes that promote caring and respect for others and try to generate as little environmental impact as possible.
Through the years we have developed a system combining deconstruction and zero waste that allows us to create unique-reproducible everyday pieces.
Nowadays, Descostura is a europe-based nomade project, that works with clothing donations to create simple and disruptive recomposed pieces of clothes. Our main focus is co-creation and transfering tools. Wherever we go, we try to share our system through workshops and participatory experiences that enhance proximity, collectiveness, autonomy, inclusion, diversities and singularities.
