Originally founded in 1966, Granny Takes a Trip was a boutique on Chelsea’s King’s Road with a cult following that comprised of the glitterati of London’s Swinging Sixties such as The Rolling Stones and Jimi Hendrix. Known for their use of unconventional fabrics, tailoring, and vintage pieces, Granny soon became a pioneer in upcycling and remodelling garments. Relaunched for the 21st century, Granny today still upholds the very same values with a commitment to exclusively using second life materials. We believe in creating from excess, championing a circular system of consumption that challenges a garment’s traditional end-of-life.
