Reverend Sophie is an independent UK based brand with our work centering around making clothing from unconventional materials and sustainability. My most current collection explores creating clothing that brings together the masculine and feminine. Trying to close that gender separation in clothing, whilst being 100% sustainable by sourcing vintage and second hand mens ties. Using a material that is seen as a stereotypically male piece of clothing and forming sexy designs, crosses that line on the masc and femme divide in clothing. My previous collection focused on challenging the taboo around periods by creating a collection entirely made from tampons. Each piece raised money for charity as well as creating a space to have these conversations and challenge the taboo's. I want my work to inspire people to turn away from fast fashion and collect pieces that are designed to last, to have more honest conversations and to feel stunrealllll !
